Moyu WeiPo WRM 2x2 50mm Magnetic Speed Cube Puzzle

When you pay $30 for a 2x2 you expect a premium 2x2. The MoYu WeiPo WRM definitely provides you that premium. The cube has a solid build that reflects it's price and has fantastic turning. Included in the box are the cube, extra magnets and a tensioning tool (tiny screwdriver). Straight out of the box the cube has relatively tight tensions. Although it's tight it's still very much usable. However, if it is too tight for your liking you can use the tensioning tool or a screwdriver to loosen the tensions. The cube has a very smooth buttery turning. The WeiPo is not the quietest of cubes but it's not obnoxiously loud and annoying. It's reasonable. If you are looking for a nice 2x2 and can afford the premium the WeiPo is definitely a good buy. However, if you're getting into 2x2 or just don't have the budget there are also plenty of alternatives at a lower price points. In conclusion, I do recommend the MoYu WeiPo if you're willing to spend the extra dollars for a premium product.

Compared to competitors, this cube is pretty expensive. Out of the box, the cube was way too tight and I believe there wasn't any lube at all which just makes it worse. It was almost impossible to use. However, after tensioning it myself and putting in some lube, the cube was a lot better. It's fast and pretty controllable, while the magnets are about medium strength, which works pretty well for this cube. If you're willing to pay the price and willing to set it up, then go for it.

Positives:

- Many tools/accessories to assist in setup and other aspects

- Fast turning, with magnets that suit it.

- Nice, Distinguishable colours

- Still slightly stable, despite the fast speed

Negatives:

- Can corner cut well, however not as well as some other cubes

- Can sometimes become unstable

i feel like the main competitor is the valk 2 but after testing both, the weipo comes in first. it’s light, smooth, and incredibly fun to use

The cubes turning is all right I guess. It’s too fast. The magnets are weak. They don’t go together well. The corner cutting is also not that great. It can’t even do 45 OOTB you need to loosen it a lot to make it good. Then again it would be too fast.
